Some of the conditions we treat:

Neck pain is the most common complaint with a whiplash injury and is reported in over 90% of auto injury patients. Depending on the injury the pain could be stemming from the muscles, vertebrae, joints, and/or discs in this region. Improper treatment of this type of injury can cause chronic pain due to improper healing, prolonged joint restriction in the cervical region, and inflammation leading to future degeneration.

Headaches are often a symptom following a car crash regardless of the severity, impact, direction,or speed. This is due to traumatic forces transferred to the cervical spine during the auto accident. Patients commonly report vascular headaches, migraine headaches, tension headaches, and headaches from sympathetic nerve dysfunction. The root cause of a headache needs to be determined as soon as possible to ensure proper treatment.

Symptoms of whiplash can include any of the following:

  • Neck pain and inflammation
  • Arm pain, numbness or tingling
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Lack of clarity or thought
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • TMJ (a type of temporomandibular disorder) and jaw pain
  • Mid or lower back pain
Back pain is one of the most common ailments people experience, with an estimated 31 million Americans experience low-back pain at any given time.

The back is a complicated structure of bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. You can sprain ligaments, strain muscles, rupture disks, and irritate joints, all of which can lead to back pain. While sports injuries or accidents can cause back pain, sometimes the simplest of movements—for example, picking up a pencil from the floor— can have painful results. In addition, arthritis, poor posture, obesity, and psychological stress can cause or complicate back pain. Back pain can also directly result from disease of the internal organs, such as kidney stones, kidney infections, blood clots, or bone loss.

Some facts about back pain:

  • Low back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide.
  • Back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office.
  • 50% of all working Americans admit to having back pain symptoms each year.
  • Most cases of back pain are mechanical or non-organic—meaning they are not caused by serious conditions, such as inflammatory arthritis, infection, fracture or cancer.
  • Americans spend at least $50 billion each year on back pain.
Neck pain can be related to a number of issues, ranging from simply sleeping wrong to more serious concerns. At Premier Care, we will do a thorough examination to determine the cause of your symptoms and then use our findings to develop a treatment plan specific to your needs.
Tension-type headaches are extremely common, and the impact of the headaches can range from mild annoyance to limiting your ability to function. Many people treat frequent headaches with over-the-counter pain medication, which can present significant health risks.
Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain in adults. The classic sign of plantar fasciitis is that the worst pain occurs with the first few steps in the morning, but not every patient will have this symptom. Patients often notice pain at the beginning of activity that lessens or resolves as they warm up. The pain may also occur with prolonged standing and is sometimes accompanied by stiffness. In more severe cases, the pain will also worsen toward the end of the day.

If left untreated, plantar fasciitis typically resolves in 6-18 months. Recovery time can be significantly improved with treatment.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is due to compression of the median nerve as it goes through a passage in the wrist called the carpal tunnel. The median nerve controls the movement and feeling of your thumb, and also the movement of all your fingers except your pinky.
The most common causes of carpal tunnel syndrome include:

  • Repetitive motions of the hands or wrists.
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes

Early diagnosis and treatment leads to decreased healing time. If the symptoms progressively worsen and remain untreated, the compression of the nerves can lead to permanent impairment.
From ACL surgery recovery to minor sprains and strains, we can formulate a treatment plan that will help speed your recovery.
Shoulder pain can be caused by a variety of issues, and at Premier Care we’re excellent at identifying the cause of the pain. Once the issue is identified, we will create a treatment plan specific to your condition that will help reduce pain and restore normal function as quickly as possible.
